About Us

WORDS FROM OUR STATE DIRECTOR

For more than 25 years South Carolina MENTOR has distinguished itself as a quality provider of services to children, families and adults.  South Carolina MENTOR has built a strong reputation for providing cost-effective, quality, individualized treatment services. Our programs are anchored in quality assurance and effective management of vital services to children and adults.  South Carolina MENTOR was the first private provider for therapeutic foster care in the state over 25 years ago.  We now have seven offices and over 300 Mentor homes.  Presently we are starting the first community-based services to adults with acquired brain injury.  Together, our MRDD and ABI programs serve over 100 individuals at three locations.

South Carolina MENTOR is dedicated to conducting business honestly and ethically.  The leadership team of managers and supervisors in all of our programs set the tone for the company. South Carolina MENTOR is proud of the dedicated and committed team of over 400 employees supporting the clients, consumers and families receiving services daily.  Our employees are all professionals who follow the mission of South Carolina MENTOR and The MENTOR Network: to create a system of care that will provide individuals who have complex conditions options for living in the community, supports for attaining independence, and opportunities to grow and develop personal connections in natural settings.

South Carolina MENTOR has helped to define a new vision for human services delivery – one that offers the choice and trust found in local relationships combined with the strength and stability of a national organization.  It is our goal to make a positive difference in the lives of children and adults who experience the MENTOR model of services.  As the State Director for the past 15 years, I am proud to be a part of South Carolina MENTOR and The MENTOR Network.  Please ask us how we can be of service to you.

Sincerely,

Lynn Morton-Epps
